Well, I thought I would take it upon myself to tell the truth about Barack Obama, since he clearly is either too dishonest or too stupid to do it for us. As I have pointed out elsewhere, "Ronald Reagan had a vision for America. Barack Obama has a vision for Barack Obama," according to the great Dr. Thomas Sowell.
The truth about Barack Obama is that he is already the most incompetent President we have ever had. In less than 100 days out from taking office, he has proven himself more of an idiot than Jimmy Carter. He appoints people based solely on their commitment to his cause--which is, namely, himself.
I have heard a conservative Democrat (that's what some of them actually call themselves, and they mean it) lawyer, who worked for the Carter Administration and who is a biofuels expert with 40 years experience and works as a lobbyist for that industry in D.C., openly lament Obama's and his Congress' spending already, saying that it is "impossible" for the federal government to try to responsibly and intelligently spend all the money they have already borrowed (as future taxes against our children). He said, also, that Obama's appointees are typically 28-year-olds who know next to nothing about biofuels except maybe what some professor in some half-forgotten class told them once. If they aren't going to listen to lobbyists like him, he wonders, who will they listen to? Who will guide them in making policy?

The truth about Barack Obama is that he is already, more and more, pissing off his base--Democrats. As silly as Democrats can be, even many of them who are older and more experienced, like the man I just mentioned, cannot abide this absurd, outrageous tax and spend juggernaut that Obama has sought to inflict upon Americans.
The other day, Obama was radiant with pride, in his insufferably arrogant way, that he had overturned a Bush policy about federal funding for stem cell research. Essentially, Obama loves to say whenever he is doing something in opposition to whatever Bush did, because just about everything Bush did was wrong and immoral and dishonest. Including those damned "signing statements" he used to use to say that he opposed certain parts of a bill that the Congress essentially forced him to sign because he liked too much of what was in it. These signing statements were taken to mean that if the time came for the Executive Branch to enforce certain laws, they would find a way not to enforce them. (This is not without long historical precedent, I should point out.) The mad Libs called this treason.
The other day, Obama made use of signing statements. But, of course, it was a "change" away from what the evil demon named "Bush!" did. You see, when he signed off on spending another $410 billion of YOUR money, he didn't like certain provisions in there that the Justice Department said should be in there. He said it would interfere with his authority to conduct foreign affairs. Poor Obama.
"With these considerations in mind and based upon advice of the Department of Justice, I will issue signing statements to address constitutional concerns only when it is appropriate to do so as a means of discharging my constitutional responsibilities," said His Mediocrity. What was always wrong for "Bush!" is always right for Barack Obama.
Mark talks about Obama's lack of leadership and the SCHIP bill.
Then there are the lies told by Obama, which already require a list far longer than this space allows me to enumerate. But let's take some of what he says about his favorite topic (other than himself)--the economy.
According to Emperor Dumbo, essentially all economists agree that the stimulus bills he has signed and wants to see more of are "necessary". "We have a consensus that we need a big stimulus package that will jolt the economy back into shape," says Dumbo. Amazingly enough, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer went right along with this. "Every economist from right to left, Republican, Democrat, advises that it has to be a very substantial package, " says Hoyer.
What a blatant lie--not to mention total ignorance about economics.
It is extremely easy to find economists who question and/or outright oppose this stimulus spending. For starters, there's a petition that you can find here (http://www.cato.org/special/stimulus09/cato_stimulus.pdf) signed by 350 economists telling the Emperor that he's full of pooh about this.
And let's not forget, on this short-short list of pieces of the truth about Barack Obama, how he has gravely offended our chief ally, Great Britain, with his tacky, obnoxious, superficial "gift" in exchange for a magnificent pen set...and sent the White House bust of Churchill back to England. Why would he send it back? Because he knows that Churchill was a vastly superior leader...and because Churchill said that if "you're 40 and you aren't a conservative, you haven't got a brain". Obama is 47. If he only had a brain.
